Camping and Caravanning
The Eastnor Deer Park overlooks the castle as well as the Malvern Hills and is a popular site for camping and caravanning during the summer months.
The park is a designated 'Area of Outstanding Beauty' and a 'Site of Special interest'.
For many years visitors have come to Eastnor to enjoy it's beauty, tranquillity and walk the picturesque Malvern Hills.
Deer Park 2010 Season:
We will be re-opening the Eastnor Deer Park for touring caravans and rallies. We closed the park during 2009 to give the ground chance to recover following two very wet summers and carry out some improvements to the drainage.
We are making some changes to the way in which the park is offered for camping and caravanning from 2010 and in particular we will be rotating the areas used to minimise the wear and tear on the parkland. Details of opening times and areas available are as follows:
2010 Opening Times:
Friday 26th March to Sunday 13th June: Central Event Fields
Monday 14th to Thursday 24th June: Closed
Friday 25th June to Sunday 18th July: Far End of Park
Monday 19th July to Thursday 19th August: Closed
Friday 20th August to Sunday 3rd October: Far End of Park
From 2010 we welcome tents and caravans for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights after which they must be moved, unless by special arrangement. Please note that we will not be offering storage facilities for unoccupied caravans in 2010.
We offer all campaing and caravanning visitors, including rally groups, a half price family ticket for entry to Eastnor Castle and grounds for a family of up to 2 adults and 3 children, during their stay,(subject to castle opening dates and times).
Costs for 2010 are as follows:
| £7.00 per caravan, trailer tent or family tent £6.00 Seniors £3.50 per person per night for small tents |
There are ample fresh water points in the park as well as cesspit emptying points.
We do not have showers, toilets or electrical hooks ups and we do insist that all campers and caravanners have their own toilet facilities.
Fishing
We will continue to offer fishing in the lakes, but there will be a small charge of £5.00 per person per day of £10 for a family ticket (2 adults & 3 children).
