Clay Pigeon Shooting
At Eastnor we have a number of sites to choose from, the grounds surrounding the Castle and the Terraces overlooking the lake are particularly spectacular. The choice of guns combined with low recoil cartridges ensure every consideration has been made for guests’ comfort. Experienced coaches guarantee that the day is both exciting and rewarding with maximum safety at all times.

GNAT Shooting
Clay Shooting with a twist! Shooting specially designed radio-controlled model aircraft targets with conventional shotguns. Safety cages, guns, cartridges, hearing protection etc. all provided, plus pilot and technician with plenty of GNAT targets and a minimum of two professional shooting instructors.

Archery & Crossbow
Archery is ideal to complement the more energetic activities. It is challenging and competitive and with suitable bows, anyone can participate. Individual coaching ensures that all your guests enjoy themselves safely. Usually held on the Lower Terrace, next to the lake, with the Castle as a backdrop, the setting is superb.

Learn to drive your own horse and carriage around a challenging course in the beautiful Castle Grounds. Carriage driving is a very popular and unusual off road driving activity and our experts will ensure that your guests find this activity highly enjoyable and rewarding.

Gun Dog Trials and Ferret Racing
These two challenging and unusual activities combine well with other country sports and will appeal to all tastes. Teams will face the challenge of completing a rustic agility course with a Springer Spaniel, as a relay race with an added surprise at the end. Great fun too!

Learn to herd sheep, geese and ducks in this fascinating and often hilarious countryside activity.

Falconry
Our experts will demonstrate with a wide variety of species including Owls, Hawks and Falcons. This activity is much more than just a display; it is an opportunity for each of your guests to fly a Harris Hawk for themselves. They will be able to experience the excitement of sending a hawk up into the trees and then calling it back to the gloved hand.
