MAGICAL CHRISTMAS EVENT AT EASTNOR CASTLE

Eastnor Castle, the fairytale 19th century castle near Ledbury is preparing for Christmas with a special Christmas at Eastnor event on Sunday 4th December from 11.00am – 5.00pm. Unique gift stalls, Father Christmas, a brass band, carol singers, candlelit tours of the castle and horse and carriage rides around the grounds are just some of the activities that make up this wonderful festive day out for all the family.

Over 20 stalls will be among the attractions on the day, giving visitors the chance to purchase a selection of beautiful and affordable gifts. Stalls include handmade designer jewellery from Mangojuice, delicate handmade chocolates from The Velvet Bean company, a luxurious range of cushions and throws from Creative Furnishings and designer knitwear, handbags and accessories from The Goat Company, plus many more. While the shopping delights of the day will keep adults entertained, children are not forgotten, witha range of fun activities around the castle and grounds to keep them occupied. Father Christmas will be on hand in his grotto to take a note of children's wish lists and every

child who visits will receive a free gift. Regular Eastnor attractions such as the Knight's Maze and the Children's Adventure Playground and Assault Course will also be open for all to enjoy.

Visitors can take in the breath taking scenery that surrounds Eastnor by taking a magical horse and carriage ride through the grounds. On their return visitors can take a tour of the castle and admire the giant Christmas tree which will adorn the candlelit Great Hall. To add a special festive touch to the day, stalls in the castle courtyard will be selling traditional Christmas refreshments such as mince pies and mulled wine while a Brass Quintet plays Christmas music along with a local choir group singing traditional carols.

Admission for the Christmas at Eastnor event is priced at £7 for adults, £4 for children, £6 for senior citizens and £18 for a family ticket (2 adults and 3 children).

Eastnor Castle sits dramatically at the foothills of the Malverns, within a 5,000 acre estate of breath-taking scenery, including a deer park, lakes, woodland, quarries and hills. The home of the Hervey-Bathursts, the castle has been lovingly restored and includes a number of magnificent rooms and spectacular collections, including early Italian Fine Art, Medieval Armour, 17 th century Venetian furniture, Flemish tapestries, and paintings by Van Dyck, Reynolds, Romney and Watts.

The castle provides ease of access, situated just 10 minutes from the national motorway network, and within easy reach of major cities and airports.
